Terra Cotta Warriors Exhibit at HMNS - May 22, 2009 - October 18, 2009
"More than 1,000 of an estimated 8,000 life-size figures have been unearthed since then, of which just 14 are on view in Terra Cotta Warriors. But those 14 warriors — along with a terra-cotta chariot horse; bronze water birds found by an underground river in the emperor’s tomb complex; sculptures of court officials, acrobats and generals; and assorted weaponry — add up to the largest selection of terra-cotta artifacts to travel to the United States. The 100 sets of objects on view dazzle with their breathtaking craftsmanship while shedding light on the culture that produced them." - Terra Cotta Warriors bring archaeological wonder to Houston | Lifestyle/Features | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle - http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/headline/features/6446987.html
"The Houston Museum of Natural Science's new exhibit of the famed Terra Cotta Warriors from Shaanxi Provence is nothing short of stunning. And so are the pictures. While photography isn't allowed in the exhibit, a few lucky Flickr photographers were allowed to take private and extraordinary pictures of the warriors themselves." -
